Dual Language Spanish/English

Robotics

Our after school program offers an excellent Robotics  enrichment which took 1st place in recent robotic competitions in our local school district. Feel free to visit our after school program to get more information about how your child can join our robotics movement! 

Folklorico

Our after school program offers an amazing cultural "Folklorico" program that allows students in all grades to view the richness of the culture and music through the Mexican folkloric dance. STEAM LAB 

Developing students who are ready to take on 21st challenges and opportunities is of top priority at Napa. With our constant changing world of technology and engineering, it is important to expose our students to the latest academic programs that gets them ready to be college and career ready. This is why we offer a unique STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) Lab for our ETK through 5th grade students so they can leave our school ready to take on future academic endeavors in middle school! 

Theater 

At Napa we offer a comprehensive drama program for our students. We believe that training in theater enhances a student's life whether they pursue a career in theater or not. The classes adhere to the California Common Core State Standards and stride to strengthen basic life skills such as concentration, cooperation, imagination, and verbal expressiveness. 

Dance

The elementary dance program at Napa is a foundational program that provides standards-based instruction in dance. The students are given the opportunity to experience dance as art in an educational setting, performing, creating, responding and connecting their dance learning to their own experiences.

Blended Learning 

Getting our students ready with 21st Century skills is very important at Napa. We stride to developing students who are college and career ready by providing them with the necessary tools to succeed in the classroom and in their future academic experiences. Tools like typing, web searching, coding, creating powerpoint presentations, google classrooms, and much more. We have Chrome-books for all students in grades 3-5 and iPads for small group intervention in grades Tk-2. 

Restorative Justice

The school staff at Napa is committed to creating an environment focused on instruction and positive behavioral support which leads to academic success for all students. Our school-wide expectations and Restorative Justice practices ensure positive school climate, stronger school community, productive interpersonal relationships, and tools to address student misconduct. 

Weekly Parent Workshops

When schools, families, and community groups work together to support learning, children tend to do better in schools, stay in school longer, and like school more.  At Napa we work collaboratively with parents and community partners in order to provide parents with the necessary tools and information to help their children at home. GATE-Gifted and Talented Education

GATE stands for Gifted and Talented Education. This program addresses the special needs of the identified gifted students. The state has recommendations, standards and funding for these programs and at Napa, the GATE funding supports our identified GATE students and the teachers with GATE clusters in their classrooms. Each school with a GATE and/or SAS program has a site coordinator and a parent rep. Our GATE coordinator at NAPA is Ms. Eskildsen. Student Council

Students have the opportunity to develop leadership by organizing and carrying out school activities and service projects. In addition to planning events that contribute to school spirit and community welfare it is a great way for students to promote the voice of the student body, problem solve and impact their community 

Restorative Justice Ambassadors

Students trained in providing interventions that will help students approach and work through conflict in constructive and meaningful ways throughout the school day. These students become a neutral facilitator in helping create plans to resolve disagreements and move forward. 

Intervention Programs for Students

Programs that offer targeted academic support to students in various academic areas such as reading, writing or math. Various programs offered during the school day, after school and on Saturdays.

READY SET GO Morning Program

A before school academic and enrichment program that has been developed to meet the academic and supervision needs of our elementary children before school begins. There is no charge for participating in the program.

LA’s BEST After school Program

After school program provided daily from the time the school bell rings until 6pm, each student receives a nutritious meal, help with their homework and opportunities to participate in a wide array of enrichment activities. LA’s Best also offers a Summer Learning Program at Napa Elementary.
